We want to begin in hopes that you and your family stayed safe during Hurricane Irma. Many of us may have left the State while some stayed to watch over their homes. Either way there is so much extensive damage that was caused and work that needs to be done to get us all back to where we were. This hurricane impacted our lives more than we ever imagined and with that being said we regretfully inform you that we have to cancel The DeSoto Pumpkin Festival (October 14th & 15th), The Great Pumpkin Festival (October 27, 28 & 29) and Snow Fest for 2017. The Storm Damage all of the equipment that we use to put the festivals on, Stages, Sound, Tents and Tables and most of the props, it would take us at least a year to rebuild all of the damages.
We will be back and bigger and better than ever for 2018, but with these trying times and equipment destroyed we are unable to pull of the events to the magnitude as we usually do.
We invite you all to participate in 2018 and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. By no means did any of us expect this to happen, but we need to just stay strong and move forward. We truly regret putting a pause on such great traditions, but we also feel that the events will not be put on correctly due to sponsorships, advertising and property damage.
